Worlds Talk

I've just arrived in Florida for a conference on Necessity and Possibility organised by Kirk Ludwig. We get started this afternoon with papers by Michael Jubien and Frank Jackson. I've become pretty used to the idea that possible worlds aren't fine-grained enough to analyse semantic notions, but it looks as if one of the things that Michael Jubien is going to be arguing that they aren't fine-grained enough to analyse possibility and necessity either. Pretty intriguing...
